On Miami Beach, city dwellers have escaped the metropolitan madness to seek solace by the sea. A warning sign stands on the road, but this is not your typical road warning sign. The sign displays a mermaid, with “Mermaid X ing” (mermaid crossing) written on it, to warn passersby that mermaids could be crossing the road anytime. The sign baffles onlookers, and to top it all off, rumor has it that mysterious women would show up in random places at night. What if the sign and the rumor are telling us the truth? What if we stumble upon mermaids on the beach by day, and they switch their fancy fins to long legs in high heels, ready to party at night? Some say they have spotted them crossing from the beach to a pool party in a beach club, and even waving their hands to beckon people to join their city soiree.

This Spring/Summer 2021, Milin comes with an exciting concept, inspired by the story of these mysterious mermaids. The collection features special fabrics for unique textures, with wave patterns woven on lavender and fresh yellow midi dress with a twisted top, a pearl-like sheen glistening satin of the backless mini dress with a fabric strip detail, and reaching more mermaid inner with seashell shaped pleats duchess satin top. The color palette of the collection is inspired by the colors of coral in the ocean, as seen on lavender asymmetric dress with drawstring, long tunic top with front draping in coral, and draped spaghetti strap top in various colors paired with matching pants.
